The guns are in very good condition.

Theres some other stuff here thats decent. But a lot of stuff has just kind of moldered over the years... so Im probably just going to get a dumpster and toss stuff most things into it.

Not as bad as it could be... well, some areas. The bedroom I took over it took me like 4 tries mopping the floor until my feet stopped its Stygian transformation just walking around.

The living room ceiling is nasty... and theres so much tobacco dust everywhere.

What really sucks is the addition to the house... popcorn ceilings

I fucking hate that shit, and thats got a bunch of yellowing. So its nearly impossible to clean..

Simple green does a pretty good job on painted walls. Just fuck loads of paper towels. Spray it down, wipe it, repeat a few times until all you know is the Green Haze.

Cleaning the nicotine sludge off of walls is fucking disgusting. I think Id rather just strip the rooms and put up new drywall if I had to deal with it again in the future.

Be careful with popcorn ceilings. If they were made before and during the 1980s they may have asbestos in them so you definitely dont want to scrape them.

Ugh I feel your pain... that is just super unpleasant. My grandpa smoked 4 packs a day, he always had a smoke going. He never rolled the windows down in his truck either and after a while, orange nicotine goo would start dripping down. He would just take a rag and wipe down the glass.

Gonna be a hell of a thing cleaning out my grandfather's house when that time comes.

He's smoked like a pack a day for the past 60 years in that house.

I can't imagine it's even possible to completely get rid of the smell. That shit must have been absorbed by the walls and framing by now.

Im sorry for your (presumed?) loss.

Is the lever action side or top ejecting?

Does the 30-06 have a clip guide? A white band on the front of the stock? drill holes near the serial number on the front of the bolt?

Is the .22 semi auto or lever action? Possibly a Stevens or Savage?

My parents smoke inside and it's a pretty big reason why I rarely visit them. My clothes stink as fuck everytime I come back home

My brother and his wife stayed at my house over Christmas and newyears, and I insisted he smoked outside. Place still reeks of tobacco smoke anyway.

A clip guide is a notch near the top of the bolt that you put a clip into to quickly load the rifle. Its shaped like a dovetail almost. If its a 30-06, there is a good chance that it is a sportorized milsurp 1903A3. Those were very popular in the 50s to the 70s.

The 22 im leaning towards a Stevens, possibly a model 887. Your dad would have been in his 30s when it came out in the 70s if im correct.

The 30-30 is probably a Marlin 336. With the old skool wood job they had before the 90s. My Marlin is newer but still a beaut.

If i had pics i could give you a lot more detailed info.
