In the living room until my parents went crazy and got this giant TV for my bedroom.
It was a previously owned TV they got cheap with those fake wooden panels and the power button was missing. So I had to take a cotton swab and move it around in the hole where the button had been until I hit the switch.
Was ghetto as fuck, but that TV along with the ritual to get it started provided me with some great memories.

In my own bedroom. We had a TV in the downstairs family room that was primarily for watching, but bedroom TV was for games.

When we first got the NES, I played it on the sole TV in our family room. By the time I got an SNES, I had a TV (without cable) in my room and played there.

Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

On an absolute piece of shit tv in my bedroom. It was one with the dial to change channels. Granted, this was the early 90s, but even by then, it was incredibly dated. Sometimes I'd have to bang on the side of it just to get it to work. Eventually moved the gaming setup to the basement tv when I was 12 or so.

The family TV we only had one and I'd get to game on it a little bit after school. Had Snes hooked up to a tube TV.

It was split between the living room, a TV in my bedroom or a TV in the basement. Things moved around a lot.

The living room for a good bit of years. My dad played just as much games as my brother, sister and I so the "main" consoles we played was always set up in the living room. (Pretty much with whatever was current at the time. Once the SNES came out the NES mostly stayed in my bedroom, and the SNES and genesis+sega cd would get swapped with one another for that living room spot at times. Once the playstation came out then that was set up in the living room. The nintendo 64 was in my room though since my dad did not do too much N64 gaming like that. That was mainly me, my brother, and my two nephews always playing multiplayer stuff on it).

Post PS1 is when my brother and I started getting our own money so there was no real need to share when we could just buy our own consoles and portables.
