I remember a video saying that Garry's Mod had an achievement for playing with the creator.

Yeah I remember watching that one. The dude on the achievement hunt legit stalked the hell out of the creator and eventually managed to contact him, lmao.

any achievement in any game that requires you play on the highest difficulty level with limited saves or no saves

It took my friend a solid year of setting alarms for god awful times or staying up super late before work to get the Cinder Surprise fish. He wears that title with pride

Well, I'm guessing he would be more careful making achievements if he ever made another game.

most types like that i've seen have at least been like "play with a developer or someone with this achievement"

All the achievements for that game are fucking wild. It's stuff like "play for an entire year", "click your mouse 10k times", "get 500 errors"

People have already mentioned multiplayer ones but generally anything that's playing in one sitting I'm out on.

"No death" is fine but not where you literally can't even quick save to resume later.

Is that Half Life 2 gnome achievement hard? The one where you gotta drag a garden gnome with you throughout the whole game and then shove it in a rocketship at the end?

Well, you lucked out if he was telling the truth. But I can still imagine people begging him to help them.

I recently got the platinum trophy for mega man 11, and one of that game's hardest trophies is having to beat the game in under 60 minutes. Only 0.9 percent of players did it. You can always check this one out if you want.

I barely did it myself....I only had 10 seconds left on the clock when my trophy popped, lol.

No it's pretty easy. You don't do it the whole game really it's just episode 2 which is much shorter than the real game. You're allowed to drop the gnome, kill everyone, then backtrack for it.

As long as you don't cross a ponr

I admit I was crazy sweating with the time attack one, and I thought that one was harder than dr. light's trial.

You would think dr. light's trial would be insane, but I actually got it down in I want to say like 6 attempts. Once you get that yellow devil pattern down, recharge blast man's bombs at the two recharge points, and get the hang of using impact man's weapon to get past that one tricky bouncing ball spike room then its not bad at all. You get 1 extra life at each of those recharge points so you can use them to get to wily, intentionally die before using any weapon energy if you arrive at him hurt, and just take him down with blast man, fuse man, and acid man's weapons once you come into the fight fresh.

Another challenging yet fair time attack trophy is for the indie game cyber shadow. That one has a finish the game in under three hours trophy. Definitely doable, I had like 58 minutes to spare with that one.

Complete the Halo 2 Campaign in LASO.

Master Chief Collection has such a bottomless pit of achievements. It's pretty impressive honestly. Good mix of normal progression ones, interesting challenges and then a few that are super hard like LASO.
