It's super boring and the players flop all the time.

Football doesn't care about you either.

As an American, I've found it curious that we are completely indifferent to soccer, let somehow adore the even-more-boring baseball.

Also I fucking despise baseball, ever since the days I was involuntarily compelled to play it as a child.

Imagine if all our all star football athletes played soccer instead of football it wouldnt even be fair. Can you imagine Tyreek Hill sprinting all over a soccer field scoring goals??

I guess you'd also find cricket one of the most boring international sports. Yesterday in the match between Pakistan and New Zealand, after 5 days play it was very close to getting a result between the two teams (NZ in the slightly better position), but at the very end the game was called off and given a draw due to 'bad light'. Personally I love cricket, but sometimes it can be very unfriendly to newcomers.

I think with baseball it's very generational. People back in the early 1900s had literally nothing better to do than play baseball and watch others play baseball. "National pastime" and all that. Then that cultural tradition got passed to kids, and now a boring sport is super popular.

Same thing with soccer in most other countries, too. It's all kind of a relic of days when there was actually nothing better to do than kick and throw a ball around.

Well I despise all your Yankee Doodle Dandy sports. Lets look at them one by one shall we?

1. Ice Hockey. Oh isn't that the sport where all they do is punch each others lights out and have bench clearing brawls for the entire duration of the match?
2. Your namby-pamby sissy boy sport in American Handegg er I mean American Football! OOhhh we do not want to get a paper cut in out fingers so lets pad ourselves up the wazoo! Unlike the real men, the real tough men that play Rugby League/Rugby Union. They do not need no stinking padding. Oh and isn't American Football that sport where they take Time Outs about every 5 seconds and an hour long match takes about 3 weeks to do right?
3. Baseball. Oh isn't that just the Americanized version of the sport of Rounders that we in Britain created? Oh look lets bat a ball around a field running from "base" to "base" to score runs? Boring.
4. Basketball. Oh look lets run around like headless chickens trying to get an oversized orange into a netted hoop. Boring.

So before you go criticizing The Beautiful Game of FOOTBALL go and take a long hard look at your crap sports.

Oh and the term is called "Diving" not "flopping". Oh and that is a bookable offense in Football. You can even be SENT OFF for blatant diving.

I've wondered before about if Lebron James had started playing tennis at a young age. Though I guess maybe his choking gene would be hyperintensified in that sport.

Also I'm not an inside joke that someone manufactured a chart based on your past from your plethora of accounts.

I grew up being a big hater, I would post the same things you all are posting, how they flop too much, waste time, its slow, its boring. In HS I gave it a fair shot, i watched games, but I just couldn't get into it and kept hating. I'm someone who enjoys almost all team sports, Football, Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, etc.

In my mid 20s I started playing FIFA pretty hardcore. From there I finally understood the game, the strategy, tactics. I understood the technical skill these guys play with. Now it might be one of my top sports. Its a beautiful sport.

Yes, flopping and time wasting exist, but theres probably more flopping in the NBA than soccer. If you think about it, every few possessions someone flops in the NBA, roughly every 2 min, thats not the case in soccer.

There's also a difference between flopping and embellishing and in soccer its usually the latter, where the foul actually occurs but they exaggerate it so the ref sees and calls it.

So tell me how the utter fuck can you like Ice Hockey or Basketball where the players DIVE moreso than they ever do Football but not like Football.

Oh and here is news for you The MLS is the THIRD biggest sport in The USA. It is absolutely HAMMERING the ever loving fuck out of Ice Hockey and Basketball.

Agreed, yeah.

But I really don't see the appeal of Soccer by comparison. Football has guaranteed action in every play. Soccer is mostly just running back and forth chasing a ball for ninety minutes until one person scores one goal in the entire match.
