Right now on CNN they are showing an interview with two doctors that helped Damar. They say he's gradually waking up, following commands and even asked who won the game?

We should note that he didn't ask verbally but in written form, doctors clarified.

The game should be the last thing on his mind, even though it's his job, lol.

He needs to get better first.

It's kinda sad that he expected everyone to keep playing while he was maybe dying

No maybe about it. You don't get CPR for 10 minutes without seeing angel wings and all the family members for a bit.

To be fair its probably the last thing he remembers going on before waking up in the hospital. Depending on how loopy he is he might be confused about whats going on in general. When my mom had sepsis and spent a day and a half in more or less a coma, she finally woke up she spent the next two days arguing with us because she didnt believe she was in the hospital, like we were playing some kind of elaborate prank on her.

Well let's just let the NFL do the whole Tua protocol and suit him up and get this first quarter finally underway!

Not surprised in the least. Most football players are very passionate about football. And that game was arguably one of the most important of the entire season. Of course he cared how it went.

That's what I thought. Reminds me of when Jerry Lawler collapsed on air, I think he needed CPR for even longer and was clinically dead for a bit.

He may not yet be able to fully grasp how he was basically dead on the field

In a cardiac arrest, time before CPR is a lot more critical than how long the CPR is performed, and it looks like they were on him almost immediately. 9 minutes of CPR sounds like a lot, but that is actually pretty good. For people who had no long term damage after having a cardiac arrest outside of a hospital, they averaged 12 minutes of CPR.

Cardiac arrest is super scary (especially outside of a hospital) but he does have a lot of things going for him

I remember that night. Production tried hard not to use camera angles that showed the commentary table and out of respect the commentary just stopped for the rest of the show

You would think, but sepsis can cause mild psychosis, so she was also having hallucinations that we couldnt really figure out. She was convinced we had made up her bedroom to look like a hospital room. We couldnt risk moving her because her condition was so touch and go, but when she was finally strong enough to walk on her own the physical therapist took her out into the hallway and she was completely taken aback to find that we were right and she actually was in the hospital.

100%. Of all the places to have a heart attack, he had one in the second best possible place aside from basically in a hospital operating room

Well, when the ambulance can drive onto the field...

But yeah, he got help lightning fast, and it certainly saved his life.

is asking in written form more impressive? I know he probably still has tubes inserted in his mouth but having the ability to write sounds amazing
