It wouldn't have mattered without the WCW run of course, but he had maybe 5 watchable matches that were competitive. His first WWE run really sucked though. He should have either come immediately or waited for all the WCW stuff to die down. MarcyWarcy 01/05/23 2:31:51 AM #7:	that initial wcw run was amazing. goldberg wasn't a great wrestler in a long match obviously but generally he did not need to be. people wanted to see a giant firebreathing dragon blow up jobbers and heels and by and large they got it. I wouldn't say he was the best wrestler ever by any means, but the goldberg streak is probably the best use of a big guy in wrestling history the problem comes when you try to just make him another guy in the main event. obviously he cant only win forever, but both WCW and WWE at different times tried to make him just another dude to feed to people and it didn't at all work.
