My dog doesn't speak any human langauges. However, she understands when she is called by her name. She responds to her name

Also, when we say, "Come here" to her in the Spanish language, she understands that, and she comes here

If someone shouted Ignorp at you enough times and forced you to sit and acted happy you did it eventually you would associate ignorp with sitting, and happy responses. Especially if they beat the shit out of you when you didnt ignorp.

Some dogs understand specific languages . When I was 10, I had a German Shepard who had been trained in German. We got him pretrained and were told he only responded to German commands

Now this was back in 1991. But I feel like he did ignore English orders. I remember saying German words to him

He was a very good dog but he sadly got cancer less than 2 years after we adopted him. Was so unfair. That was the first time I remember being mad at God

They can be taught to learn words in other languages if you work with them yes.
