Wow.

Just realized that this may have been the first year in about 30 years that I saw zero movies in the theatre.

Even in 2020, before the pandemic hit, I saw the Impractical Jokers movie in March, and saw Fast 9 in 2021.

My mom wanted to see Dr. Strange, so I took her to that for Mother's Day. And that was the first time I'd gone to a theater since before Covid hit.

Sonic 2 and Rise of Gru.

I had been waiting until my son was old enough to sit still for 2 hours and then the pandemic hit. So Sonic 2 was his first experience "at the movies" which was awesome because he had been looking forward to it for 2 years.

I have a home theater downstairs so generally i just wait for it to come out on video.

None. Last thing I saw at the theater was 1917 at the beginning of 2020. At this point I just prefer to wait a few months and watch stuff at home.

Theaters suck.

Dragonball Super: Super Hero and One Piece: Film Red

Saw Doctor Strange MoM, which I liked. The Batman was badass. Black Adam was amazingly fun. Jurassic World Dominion was also fun, and better than Fallen Kingdom.

Overall, didn't see many, but liked all the ones I saw.

I think that's it? Its not like there haven't been a ton of good movies coming out, but like, I've just had other things going on this year mostly.

First movie I'd seen in theaters since Detective Pikachu.

None. I can't even remember the last movie I saw in theatres.

Theaters suck.

Theaters are great. I love how some of the AMC theaters now have big cushy recliners that are slightly separated in groups of two. Great for cuddling with a date without the guest in the next seat being shoulder to shoulder with you.
