Its all part of suspending disbelief.

In reality, if someone built a powered Iron Man suit, you could likely kill the operator with small arms fire. And his landing from his plane jump in IM2? They'd have been scraping Tony Stark slurry out of the boots of the suit afterward.

Plus in IM3 his shit would fly to him and assemble around him. Can you imagine the logistics of getting that to work properly?

I don't dislike the twist in concept but they did it all wrong

You're supposed to start with a villain who is generic and uninteresting then flip it around and have it turn out the real villain is actually incredibly interesting.

They did it backwards by starting off with Ben Kingsley playing an awesome and threatening rendition of the character, then switching up into a... generic corporate bad guy (which was a concept used for the villain of the previous two films)
