the break finds the wings a mere 7 points out of a playoff berth, but behind just about everyone. they've played fewer games, but it's still going to take a massive hot streak just to get to #8...

"tendy tandem" is textbook doing too much. these things would be fun individually, but combining them makes everything worse.

Mcdavid murdered that accuracy game. I had to lol at Draisaitl though.

two days? you're lucky. Bruins have to have a whole week off after the all star game :(

Pens had that before the break. I think the league did half before and half after, instead of giving everyone a random week off like in previous years.

It keeps getting worse when players are making it obvious that they dont want to be there. Draisaitl was a perfect example.

If they are going to insist on an annual ASG go back to basic like it was 25 years ago, cut the gimmicks, do fastest skater, hardest shot, accuracy competition, the events fans care more about. Its turned into such a clown show over the years.

I'm not a fan of Lou at all, his policies with players, and being the coach insulting the deal you just signed a bigger name player to is in bad taste. Keep it to yourself if you feel that way, dont make the guy think you undervalue him before he even puts an Isles sweater on.

Wings Oilers tonight, gonna watch this one. Sounding more and more like Vrana has seen his last game in a Wings uniform, still pretty much in the dark about the situation but it's seeming from a lot of sources he's gonna be moved, if not by the deadline, in the offseason.

Hoping for a Wings win here, got an email that I had some leftover funds in a fan duel thing so dumped it all on a wings win tonight. Walman looked to be hurt in the first, but he's back, man has he come out of nowhere and became a respectable defender this season. If they wind up moving him, I hope they don't, a lot of people might be surprised with the return.

Pretty much all the canadian teams played at the same time with Winnipeg being the only normal start time.

Damn, that's a heck of a game. I remember a few odd ones, Fedorov and Franzen both had 5 goal regular season games. I watched the 2nd half of Sam Gagner's 8 point game when I heard what was happening.

i usually have to look up who had them, but i still have flashbacks sometimes to the game where the devils had two four goal scorers against the pens. John Madden and Randy McKay. just... ugh.
