I've only seen two movies in theaters this year both at a "budget" theater. One was the new dbz movie which was a blast, had the entire theater to myself and loved it.

The other was that weird frank Miller genie movie which was just weird. Wasn't terrible but it did fall apart completely in the third act

I always thought movie theaters were massively overrated even as a kid. Nothing beats watching movies in the comfort of your own home and being able to pause whenever you need to.

Oh wait I also saw everything everywhere all at once I think that was this year. That was also a movie I'd place in my just weird category. The scene where

the movie star husband said in another life he'd love just be poor and run a laundry mat hit me so fucking hard though. Felt that in my soul.

I went and watched a Netflix movie in a cinema a few weeks ago. Pinocchio. It was incredible.

I think that is the quote of the year for many people. Such a good reminder about what is important in life.

If things hit streaming day one I'd never go to a theater again. Bunch of loud popcorn munching, coughing, wrapper crinkling monsters. Plus my wife can't go 30 minutes without needing to pee.

My schedule was weird this weird and I got Wednesdays and Thursdays off so I can see empty showings during the week. One of the few perks of my terrible schedule

I don't think I've been since before the pandemic hit. I was tempted to go back to see Top Gun, but decided against it. Always someone there ruining the experience for others. I'm not sure if I'll ever go back tbh. I've got a decent enough home theater setup that I can enjoy alone, and don't need to worry about some asshole looking at their phone for the whole movie.

Oh big deal.

I love going to the theater. Usually about 5 times a month on average.

Every once in a while there is an annoying ass clown near me, but saying "shut up" actually works about 90% of the time.

I saw loads of movies this year at the cinema.
