Youtube had tons of these back in 2015 with stuff like setting yourself on fire or "pranking" people by assaulting them. They still exist but on a lesser level since most of those types have seemed to moved to tiktok.

The videos and information themselves pass through Apple / Google platform but their destination are servers / instances owned by TikTok.

Its easy to have an intermediary process that shuttles that data to China. Yes.
