Facing my second Christmas since my wife passed away last year. I was doing ok til that came up on my timeline. Now I'm not ok. I know the person who posted it meant well but dammit does hit way too hard around this time of year.

My dad died a few months ago those fucking things still don't have any effect on me. It's basically how I already feel so seein it is just pointless to me.

Sorry for your loss man, I don't believe it get's easier, we just find ways to cope.

You may be right. I lost my dad back in '08. Still kinda sucks to not get his Christmas/birthday card in the mail. My birthday is two weeks after Christmas so he just two birds/one stoned it

The way I see it is if your wife, parents, any other loved ones died then would you reallllly expect them to expect you to be miserable forever? I would say you're pissing them off every time you get sad about it. Especially since they don't have to do jack shit anymore as far as I know. We still gotta get up and go to work.

My brother died six months ago. It's still hard to wrap my head around it. It doesn't feel real. I'm not even celebrating Christmas this year.

I'm not really either. I honestly haven't had time to even think about it but I got friends coming in so i'll absolutely celebrate it because it's good to have the company.

I have a kid so kinda gotta celebrate. Can't disappoint him. What PS4 games are all the rage with 13 year olds right now?

Well I know he's interested in the new Sonic game. Gonna have to go local for that one if I can. Amazon won't have it here til after the new year. Are there any decent my hero academia games?
