Why is the PS5 main menu so poorly designed?

People upgrade their PCs for better performance and not always cause it plsys new shit. It's very easy to understand buying something that performs the same tasks way better than the last one you had. That's literally the reason to upgrade pretty much anything else. My new speakers don't play music my old one's didn't. Still glad I got them. Which were also $500

No point in having it when PC or Steam Deck can play most of the newer games. Those games listed also dont really interest me.

I still find it weird Halo 5 is an Xbone exclusive. Especially since a gimped version of the game has already been ported to PC.

The only games that interest me on it are final fantasy 16 and 7 rebirth. I can wait for PC on those.

After owning PS1-PS4, and never owning an xbox, I have made the switch to series x this gen and feel extremely satisfied making the switch.

I wonder what a list that isn't specifically ps5 exclusives, but games that aren't also on PS4 would look like?. It doesn't really mean as much If it's also on xbox for playstation users.

It's a fine decision if you don't own a gaming PC. Which most console gamers do not.

PC is a neutral ground at this point due to it being an open platform.

This is pretty normal for 2 years into a console gen. There's a bunch of games that will be exclusive starting in 2023 and the PS4 will start to be phased out.

You can acknowledge the steps forward while also acknowledging the steps back. Not sure if you're aware of that option. Or if you just have the extremist mindset where you either have to die for it or be blind to the perspective that not everyone cares as much as you. Sony definitely should step up. Hell, their competitor answer to Gamepass is a fuckin joke so far, if you wanna add to your end.

I still am happy with my $500 purchase because for the last generation I was saying I wished they just focused on performance and load times instead of the rest of the stuff that's been having diminishing returns. I got what I wanted. I might not got what you wanted, but that doesn't seem to really matter fron my perspective.

I actually get nothing out of being able to play games others can't. It's a weird thing to get excited over to me. Im more into the united everyone wins thing.

Outside of a Wikipedia list why is a game being on PS4 or PC as well as PS5 a bad thing?

We basically lost a year to COVID so crossgen stuff is about to sunset. Late PC ports are clearly a direction being taken by PlayStation so none of that should be a surprise now and people only benefit from these ports.

Sony fanboys have used the exclusive argument for generations, that a game is not exclusive if it is playable somewhere else.
When the table turn, it is fun to poke them with their old arguments because it suddenly doesnt matter when Sony does it.

In my experience it's the PlayStation fanboys who are the most upset about crossgen games and PC ports.

Should an upcoming timed exclusive even count? I mean it's not available yet so right now it's TBD ps5 and TBD pc or whatever.
