I'm hoping for diesel prices to drop since that was being blamed for rising prices in general due to more expensive trucking. Of course, the general prices of goods will probably not go down.

lol at everyone jumping to politics

when gas was high, it hurt everyone. everyone was mad at everyone.
when gas is low, it helps everyone. everyone is happy.

saying "lol republicans are quiet now" is such an embarrassing stance to try and take. no sane person actually believes the president directly manipulated gas prices. if you know someone who says "GRRRR I HATE BIDEN HE RAISED GAS" then they should be deleted from your brain to begin with.

Why would private companies current or new pay, create, and drill for something that will take years to set up, and will likely be forced to shut down long before any net profit could be made?

As for the oil prices we're currently burning through our reserves now to lower the cost. But it won't last since there haven't been in changes in oil supply and demand.

maybe they think renewables are gonna be a bigger and faster breakthrough than expected, that's another thing. they're definitely seeing exponential gains. the mainstream models they've been relying on for a long time were wrong about how quickly renewables would be adopted. it's much more quickly than they expected. which is good.
