Usually just order whatever I want, most restaurants don't have random items that are absurdly more expensive than others

I clarify if drinks are included and if so I lay into the booze heavy.

Bread. Assert dominance by eating only bread.

The company I worked for before this one had deep pockets. So a good dish, dessert and drinks was expected.

Company Im with noweh, more reasonable. Chicken Alfredo or a deli sandwich and a cokesimple, modest.

For me, it depends on whether I work with the owner or not. Am I part of the extended family, or am I only one of many cogs.

I'm cheap so i would probably get something a little more expensive than usual or depending on whats good whatever i would normally get.

I wouldn't go out of my way to order cavier or lobster just because its expensive, but something i like but i wouldnt normally get unless its a special occasion. Maybe prime rib or a ribeye.

I order what I normally order. I'm picky, I'm not ordering something I may not like, just because I'm not footing the bill lol

If the boss is paying out of his own pocket something very modest.

If the corporation is paying I am going all in with all the most expensive stuff.

Either what I normally get or try to get out of the social engagement at all >.>

But if I'm there I'll stick to my usual ordering habits.

Follow the lead of the highest ranked person at the table.

I wouldnt show any real restraint, but the same is true if Im paying as well.
