I'd be particularly interested in a modern remake of Shin Megami Tensei 1. But they could also do the Digital Devil Story games

I think the first SMT franchise game that got released out of Japan was Persona 1. Everything pre that, was stuck behind censorship problems

They could remake them now though

I hope they make Digital Devil Saga again. One of my favorite games ever, but it would be nice to play with modern graphics and physics.

Because video game remakes are awful.

Do any of the newer SMT games let you kill God and Satan? From what I understand SMT 1 is the game where you get 1 of 3 endings

Lucifer is one of the final bosses of SMT4, serving the role in the Law and Neutral routes.
God--or "YHVH"--is the final boss on both of the main routes in SMT4 Apocalypse.
You also have to fight Satan right before him (though in the SMT4 continuity, Satan is the fusion of Lucifer and Merkabah, and is merely testing you to see if you're worthy of approaching YHVH, joining you in the final battle against Him)

Lucifer is also the final boss in SMT5 in every route except the "Destroy the Throne" route. It's Lucifer because God is already dead by the time SMT5 takes place, and has been for nearly two decades.

Also, that was SMT2, not SMT1, where you kill YHVH, Satan, and Lucifer; you don't fight any of them in SMT1, but in SMT2, YHVH is the final boss in every route, but your alignment affects whether you fight Satan, Lucifer, or both.

They remade Nocturne and Devil Summoner Soul Hackers.

A Digital Devil Saga remaster where they did Nocturne-remaster tier voice acting would be amazing. Since that's basically as high as they've set the bar...

I heard the Last Bible games are coming to Steam in Japan? WHO CARES about those games besides Marsh who would review strange games, still waiting for the LB3 review.

SMT2 needs a re-release, I've been meaning to try the SMT 1 PSX english fan translation but I just forget about it or haven't tried it in earnest.

SMT1 was actually re-released on the iPhone a handful of years ago. But then they took it off the store. It was the only official translation SMT1 got so a weird case where the game went backward from officially playable in English to not really officially playable. The GBA and PSX fan patches are great though.

That's true Kuuko, I heard that one. I am very obsessive over weird SMT games even some Megami Tensei because I remember once someone telling me when I said I like the SMT Umbrella and someone was like oh you don't know Megami Tensei the original stuff you are incorrect in your knowledge.

That would be amazing. I still play those o. My ps2. I'd love for them to to Devil Summoner and Devil Summoner 2

Devil Summoner 1: Raidou was really cool at the time, it had some aggravations but I played it two years ago and had a sort of weird mind trip when I first bought it at as the same time as Folklore for the PS3.
