Yep.

Living in an apartment with people directly below and beside me kinda sucks, but whatever. I'm used to it.

I love living alone. My walls are covered in badass art and I generally enjoy spending my time here. My home is my sanctuary.

Live in a condo with a friend of mine. We barely see each other though so it feels like I live alone. I'm happy with the place. Only complaint is the kids in the unit above me are clearly training to be sumo wrestlers.

Its a dream house and wonderful neighborhood. We bought right as the rates were climbing and locked in 3.75%. We have no plans of ever selling.

I wish that I could live with my fiance, and I wish that I could move out of southeastern Kentucky altogether... so i'm not exactly happy with it, no.

Still, I love my mom dearly, so being here with her isn't all bad.

I live in a 3 bedroom 1300sqf condo, moving into a 1500sqf condo in January which is better in every single way save for the view. Even without the move I'm extremely happy. Living with my wife and 2 daughters, so it'll be nice to have even more space than we currently do.

It's honestly the best thing I have going for me now. I spent over 8 years renting a house living paycheck to paycheck.

Now I'm in a paid off full size RV on my own land. I sometimes pretend it's rent day just to go "ahhh I get to pocket all of this".

Definitely. Moved in with my girlfriend a few months ago who already has a house. That's a far cry from a 1 bedroom apartment that was about to increase by $300 (and that was for "good tenant behavior". The standard was going to be an increase of nearly $1,000).

Yes, I love our house. We completely renovated it to be borderline perfect for our household (four kids and plenty of space).

I only really have two nitpicks:

1) Would prefer to have had an attached garage, but detached is the norm here, so can't really complain.

2) Having a view of Lake Michigan would've been nice, but even still we're only about a five minute walk from the beach, so no biggie.

It's like 98% perfect. Renting a townhome with loads of space in a wonderful suburb right by a river and popular park/walk of bars and restaurants.

The 2% (1% of which is the fact that I'm renting still, not owning) is my shitass neighbors making random thumping noises and blaring bass music to the point that I've literally called the cops on them twice (after me personally going over there asking them to turn it down multiple times). They barely speak any english and I swear have nearly 10 people living there (a townhome the size of which is just right for two in my case). People constantly coming and going, making noise... it's very obnoxious.

So, so close to being perfect. But to answer the question, I am very happy.

Sorta. The house itself is fine, and views are great. Neighbors are mostly alright. And yet even though this is the longest I've live anywhere its never felt like home, and after almost 20 years I still don't have a clue on how to change that. I keep thinking I should sell and go back east, but the hospitals around here are excellent at the transplant that I'll need at some point.

No, still renting at 33 and San Diego has simply taken off far beyond anything I can afford. I really wasn't in a financial position to buy until it was too late. We could barely make it into a townhome with help from our parents but that's really not the path I want to take at this point in my life. Maybe I would've done it years ago had I known the market was going to go wild.

We're trying to move by spring and buy a home somewhere cheaper. I work from home so I can live anywhere but my wife's an attorney so she'd have to take another bar exam. But I'm trying to find a place we can afford on my salary alone anyway so her job doesn't quite matter in the beginning.

No... I live with my parents. Or they live with me? Idk, they have a place next door but live in the one they gave me. They own it, but supposedly it's "mine". My mentally challenged 22 year old cousin lives here too, and he's developed an incredibly bad attitude. And now... My other 9 year old cousin will be moving in soon. This place is big enough for 3 people and now theirs 5.

Anyway. I do NOT get along with my dad. He is constantly yelling at us, insulting us, sabotaging things he doesn't want us doing(like turning off the breaker to my room so there's no power, unplugging the internet so mom can't check Facebook, throwing out groceries we bought if it's not something he likes). He told the 9 year old that he was going to build a pig pen and get a messy hog, then lock the kid in the pen and let him starve, so the only way for him to live is to suck the hog's tit. Like, obviously that would never happen, but he shouldn't be telling this kid those things. When we told him it was a joke dad went off on us, telling us to shut the fuck up and that he absolutely would lock him in a pig pen.

Then mom... Idk, I love her to pieces. But she's blinded to certain things when it comes to helping relatives. She sees what she wants to see and nothing else, if you try and point anything out then "you have a problem." I'm pretty much nothing but a tool she can use to get what she wants. She'll willingly sacrifice me and my time to get her way, and so she doesn't have to do anything.

My cousins. Now it's them. I don't hold it against them for living here. They had no where else outside of being taken by the state and fostered elsewhere. But man, these are selfish and hateful, spoiled people. The fits they throw when screaming "I want" doesn't get them what they want.

Overall, everyone of the people I live with think my life revolves around them and what they want. None of them agree and some disagree on purpose just to irritate the others. Then since I'm in the middle, they all want me to side and I'm pretty much damned if I do and damned if I don't.

im trying to save money for a down payment on a house, but saving up 50 fucking grand takes a while

I like my home in terms of features, location, price etc.

Originally bought it and had my brother move in since he just divorced his ex and was taken for every penny he was worth.

Then my brother got a new partner and moved them in and the partner kind of sucks for multiple reasons but I just deal since the two of them pay me $1000/mo and Im not ready to give up that gravy yet.
