A very simple "no" would have done. Also no he was not fired, he resigned. There may have been pressure to resign but it is still not the same as being fired.

The side of the road is a part of the public thoroughfare. Paid for by taxes and maintained by the government.

And if there is a car sitting k. the side of the road with a key in the ignition then the lights are required to be on.

Practically speaking whether that happens is entirely dependent on how much of a dick the cop is, whether they want to find out if youre doing something else, or whether you just got in and turned it on.

They will say they were pulled off the road in a parking lot or in a field by a small bush.

Just fucking pay a ticket dismissal lawyer the same amount youd pay for the ticket and screw their department out of the funds.
