I finally beat the REmake after all these years for Halloween month and adored it. The classic RE style really clicked with me this time around and I enjoyed the challenge. I'm planning on going through all of the classic games. Which version of Resident 2 should I go with?

I think the gamecube one was the best because you could skip cutscenes.

Outside of PC emulation, the gamecube version is very solid.

N64 version is also fun due to the bonus stuff.

Make sure to play Onimusha too. It's samurai resident evil, just more action heavy

All of the differences, to my knowledge:
All versions but the original PS1 version and the N64 version have Super Battle Mode
The Gamecube version and only the Gamecibe version allows you to skip in-engine cutscenes (all versions allow you to skip FMV cutscenes)
The N64 version has EX files (they tie into the rest of the series), different alternate costumes, by far the worst audio and FMV quality, and the ability to change the blood color
The Dreamcast and Gamecube versions are rendered at a higher resolution than every other version

All of this being said, just get the PC Sourcenext version. It has by far the most customization options, the least compressed FMVs, and the ability to install mods, including Kendo's Cut and Kendo's Cut Uncut, which are both fucking fantastic.
