What's the source that confirms the impact was from a Ukrainian anti-air missile? And please don't say a statement from a Russian spokesman.

It doesn't seem likely that this was a deliberate attack, and if there's speculation from non-Russian sources that it might have been a stray Ukrainian missile, then I can see how that's possible; but I'm not inclined to accept at face value denials or accusations from a Kremlin mouthpiece.

The question remains, what if this had been unequivocally a deliberate Russian attack? What meaningful response could you give that wouldn't risk a truly dangerous escalation? There need to be effective methods that fall short of all-out force, and I'm not sure what those are. But we can't let the only alternatives be World War Three or just letting Russia do whatever it likes to whoever it wants.

If it was deliberate it probably would've been some shit like them using a stolen Ukrainian missle to false flag to try to erode western support for Ukraine.

Targeted strikes on their long range artillery/missiles in Ukraine and a vast increase in aid/arms to Ukraine perhaps.

Sometimes people's moral principles get in the way of sound judgement. So in their eyes, defeating Russia(the bad guys) and ending conquest of Ukraine is worth any and all cost.

You forgot they have 60 year recruits. Declining demographics. Are relatively poor. Will be seen as a global pariah. They can't rebuild after this. We sent Ukraine a small sum of B and C tier equipment and that was enough to stop them.
