Who are some bigger channels you guys used to watch that really took a nose dive? Whether it's in views, content, or both things.

For me the two biggest have got to be H3H3 and boogie2988. Used to watch them all the time, but especially H3, just became so insufferable and annoying along with boogie just being a pitty party every other week.

Super bunnyhop. Feel bad about him. I heard covid and isolation hit his mental health hard. He's starting to upload semi regularly again now i hope he's fine.

I don't follow any YTers but I don't think AVGN is nearly as good as he used to be. His heart doesn't seem in it anymore.

I haven't looked at the metrics but I get the sense from their videos they've steadily declined over the past 5 or so years. I feel for them in that many of the members have left to start their own Twitch streams and it can be difficult to stay relevant to younger audiences. I did really enjoy their old content, absolutely hilarious.

Maybe not really a big one, but Mark Bussler's Classic Game Room was one of those OG game reviewers from when Youtube was new fangled thing. He was funny about every game, even when they were stinkers, and reviewed everything from old Atari obscurities to more modern console releases, and also possessed an impressive collection of classic games and systems and some arcade cabinets as well. Seems like it was all good for him, but I guess something was not going so well behind his cheery demeanor, because after many years of running his review show with apparent success, he made a decision to make it an Amazon exclusive.
This must've truly tanked his popularity, as last I've heard of him was that he had sold his massive collection and moved into comic book publishing.

Quite the sad way to go for a for a small but nonetheless notable YT legend.

Storror. Was obsessed with them in 2011 to 2014. Checked up on them every couple of months after that.. Their viewership is still doing ok for their niche (exploded in subs back in like 2016 because they went viral in India and Hong kong which gave them an inflated count). Definitely are very influential for their sport too. That said i prefer their older videos when they actually released showreel type stuff with risky stunts every couple of months.. The last one they did was about 4 years ago. They were bound to slow down and take it easy tho. Most of them are around 30 years old and have a history of injuries.

Damn that sucks to hear. Used to watch TheRunawayguys all the time years ago and he was always my favorite of the bunch. And his old vlog channel, shame to hear.
