Is this the most obvious reference a band has ever had in relation to video games without being an actual video game themed band/coverband/meme band/whatever.

Not trying to come across as snarky, but Im guessing you dont listen to much music if you think this is the most obvious example of a video game reference by a non-video game themed band, because theres countless examples across pretty much every genre. If were going for the absolute most obvious though, it would have to be Owen Pallett formerly recording and performing under the name Final Fantasy. Way bigger and more notable game (and musician) than Rival Schools.

Man, I haven't listened to Rival Schools in a while... They are pretty good.

It would be pretty fuckin nice if Capcom rereleased the game too, actually.
