He also randomly sprung on all Twitter employees that they must work in the office 40 hours a week from today. Many of them work remotely nowhere near San Francisco. So that's probably not gonna go well.

He's gonna declare bankruptcy by the end of the year or someone else will acquire it and try to bring it back to normal. Amazing how much damage he has done in two weeks. Seems almost difficult to do.

Twitter's head of trust and safety and the company's interim head of advertising have both left the company, Axios has learned. Both appeared Wednesday with Elon Musk on a Twitter Spaces chat designed to calm advertisers.
Why it matters: Their departures cap off one of the most chaotic days in Twitter's short history under Musk.
Earlier Thursday, three top executives responsible for security and compliance also resigned.
The Federal Trade Commission, which has a consent decree with Twitter, said it was tracking developments "with deep concern."
Details: Robin Wheeler, Twitter's VP of U.S. client solutions who appeared poised to become Twitter's next sales leader, is out, a source tells Axios.
Without Wheeler, sources tell Axios, "That means its over ... Trust is gone."
Musk pulled in Wheeler to address the advertising community during Wednesday's Twitter Spaces chat.
During the event, Wheeler tried to get Musk to talk about brand safety and content moderation, but he mostly only wanted to discuss product.
Yoel Roth, Twitter's senior director of trust and safety, also quit, Axios has learned. Musk had been leaning on Roth in the past few days to explain the company's efforts to mitigate harmful content from proliferating on the platform.
The big picture: Earlier on Thursday, Musk warned engineers and product staff in a call that a Twitter bankruptcy "isn't out of the question."
In his first-ever note to staff, Musk wrote: Without significant subscription revenue, there is a good chance Twitter will not survive the upcoming economic downturn."

So the whole appeal to advertisers plan has completely imploded.

And people thought this dude was real life tony stark, a genius inventor and businessman.

He just has a ton of inherited wealth that he dumped into companies that were either already set up or had many talented people. When youre that wealthy you just fail upwards.

The irony here is I initially signed up for Twitter because it required nothing other than an email address to verify. I resisted every single urge by them to put on two factor authentication or any other pertinent identifier. I'm still one of those people that put a divide between online and real life. They are separate entities to me. Millions and millions of people are at risk because of Elon Musk being bullied into buying a platform he initially memed about, and couldn't let his ego talk him out of the stupidest decision in his life.

Honestly, I knew Musk was going to be the death of twitter if he did buy it. I just didn't expect it to be this quickly.

Because honestly Musk is the least knowledgeable person in all of the tech world.

I expected him to tank it but he's tanking at the speed of sonic the hedgehog.
