The twins' birthday is a clue written on a gold door

The "door of truth" is also a gold door

I haven't got any better ideas so I may as well try it out

The twist with the three wards being a single ward is amazing and was well foreshadowed with the healing room. A++

The other teams still don't recognise Sean, so who's Q?

I like how the flowchart was restructured too to reflect what we learned in this fragment

Zero is Delta is Brother o.0

So we reached the VLR end after all, involving Akane stabbing Junpei so he doesn't remember the events of ZTD

And the game confirmed baby Phi being that Phi as well as Delta being Zero. Could he possibly also be Q?

Q was the player's POV the entire time, no wonder the angles were wonky with Q team

Mira not getting knocked out seems somewhat extraneous.

Delta's VA sounds familiar, does he have a thing for women's hands?

So now that you know about Q team having a fourth member, go back to the fragment where Sean had a crossbow and choose to shoot Delta. I don't remember if you have to do this, but it's pretty funny.

Fun fact: you can go back to the three way standoff and have Sean kill Delta. It's a cool scene

soooo where do I go from here? There's a path in the flowchart greyed out, but I have no clue how to access it. I don't think I have any codes/passwords either

That's it, yeah. Got the first box done. Carlos and Akane were totally up to something and Junpei was probably out of the loop

The overall story is so convoluted and contrived, it felt like a teenager wrote it

At least the characters kept it entertaining

and Gab

I'm going to spoiler this for the sake of TC (no actual story spoilers):

I more or less completely agree. The game has a lot of moment to moment shock value, as you can see from this topic, but if you stop to think about many of the plot developments, you start to see that there are a LOT of plot holes, contrivances, out of character moments, and inexplicable things that altogether sour the experience. I didn't know about the multiple writer aspect before, but that coupled with the game being in development hell for years starts to explain why it's such a mess. After 999 and VLR, it feels so slipshod and unsatisfying both as a sequel and as a finale for the trilogy.

I'm so glad AI: Somnium Files exists so I can forget about ZTD easier.

I haven't done D-Team's force quit box yet, just the other two. I think I was on the right lines with Phi's brooch, but it would make sense for the second object to be the caged bird Delta got. I'm just unsure what to type in: I think Diana called it a music box so that'll be high up in my list of tries

While I liked it overall, it wasn't as good as the others. Two major criticisms are that it was slightly overambitious (e.g. the art style) and many many times the characters were out of character in a stupid way.

Overall, I'd rank the series VLR >= 999 >> ZTD. The order of the first two is a matter of personal preference, I feel, because they're both very good. But both are an order of magnitude better than ZTD. It's somewhat disappointing. Thankfully, from what I understand AI is a return to form for Uchikoshi, so I have that to look forward to down the line

I really enjoyed it while playing, but the ending kinda sucked and the whole thing really falls apart when going back over it. At least we got some good memes out of it.

I will always say that ZTD is the third best of the trilogy.

I had good times with it but there are obvious flaws.

I thought it was an overall alright game, but I hated the Delta twist, and it didn't answer any of the lingering questions from past games like they promised it would.

It's funny because watching this topic, teep pretty much had it on the money. The one thing he didn't guess (and quite frankly this one's almost impossible to guess unless you pick up on some VERY subtle cues that you wouldn't know to be looking for) is that "Q/Delta" was always there on Q-Team, just out of sight.

It seems like bullshit because how could you think to look for someone that was never presumed to be there in the first place. Also every character's dialogue seems in retrospect to be tailored specifically to just avoid acknowledging him as being there. That's a failing, of course, because now the dialogue looks stilted and unnatural in that regard.

Yeah, the reason I dislike the twist is mostly because it feels way more that they're just straight up lying to the player to hide it until the twist and that just rubs me wrong.

Once you realize that every single camera view and angle is being controlled by Delta (note how every transition is a TV shutting on and off) and that you're seeing almost the entire game through his viewpoint, the idea starts to come across that, between his ability to see everything and to "mind hack", you realize that you are likely controlling Delta throughout the entire game.

Again, this is something you really have to think about (or have suggested to you) to put together, as the game isn't clearly getting that across.

I'm also pretty sure they completely change dialogue? Like I feel like I remember some flashback scenes after the reveal that just have different dialogue.

I've seen people that don't like the twist in VLR for similar reasons, but ZTD is far worse. There is some stuff though, like at the beginning someone says the whole thing might be some sort of test "like the old man in the wheelchair." I assumed that was some weird theoretical moral dilemma thing I'd never heard of, until at the end you find out there's literally been an old man in a wheelchair just off camera the whole game and nobody thinks he might be important somehow. The transporters also feel like a massive shark jump.
