I like his movies and as a person the worst I know of is he is a top cult member. I have no issues with him but if it came out tomorrow that he had some fucked up skeletons in his closet I wouldn't be to surprised.

No, Scientologists are bat shit insane. Watch Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath. If you join you have to disconnect from anyone that is not because they will talk against the cult. People getting into immense debt because you need to keep paying for expensive books and classes to move up. Child abuse because kids are separated from their parents to work in the cult (plus the usual sexual abuse). Fair game, how they make the life of anyone who leaves hell or the same if speak against them. The shit goes on.
