I'm approaching my mid 30s and just wanna relax and have fun. If I like a game enough I'll play it on a higher difficulty but usually I just play on easy and relax.

The baldurs gate remasters have a difficulty level called Story Mode where you literally can't die. You'd probably like that

I too always play on easy mode because I want to have fun and relax and not rage my way through it.

Some games even on easy can be rage inducing.

If there is any reason to I will up the difficulty.

yeah last time i did this was in Horizon Dawn. i was at a point where i just wanted to see the story and didn't wanna sit there and pick away slowly at enemy weakspots for every encounter. put it on super easy mode and just one shot everything. i had fun tbh.

I can relate to that. I keep on Medium for every game, but can understand just not wanting to get frustrated with them.

I wish Kingdom Hearts had a story mode. Sure it has an easy setting but it is still rage inducing sometimes. They know these games are targeted at children right? They are so needlessly hard when all I want to do is play the story with my kids.

I usually like medium just cause the game is built around it. That way I can decide to do certain bonus challenges or not depending on how hard they are and/or if it's worth trying them out

During Doom Eternal, I did switch the difficulty for the final boss fight since I didn't find it fun, just frustrating

I wish more games had like, custom difficulty settings? Mostly Easy means "You take less damage, and enemies have less health."

I really don't mind enemies with lots of health (if the combat itself is fun) but I also hate dying in two hits.
I wish I could keep enemies at higher health, but also give myself more health >_>

I used to do that as a kid, but now I normally play on normal mode. I have nothing against easy mode enjoyers, though, and think games should throw that in whenever possible.

I was playing MW2 on hardened but getting annoyed by dying a ton in hard choke point areas so I might tone it down lol.

I've only ever done this on Doom Eternal, because normal felt like hard.

Nothing wrong with playing on easy. I choose difficulty based on what I'm playing. Racing I like more of a challenge. Anything story based I like to take it easy and just enjoy the ride.

Me too. Played regular hard mode until hour 85 or so, then just couldnt be bothered anymore. Still wanted to see how the story wrapped upjust didnt want to take 25-30 more hours to get to it.
