Like I thought Id be overwhelmed by the sim parts but no, theyre fucking great and fills a great thematic part of the RPG formula. The presentation of everything is wonderful, and the story so far has been really engrossing (I finished the first palace so far). I'm at same place right after first palace--just introduced the second storyline. And yeah I would have loved to play it years ago too but I have zero interest in consoles at this point in my life. P5 vanilla definitely barely had any fun cutscenes between the party; it was mostly business after the 2nd dungeon. Because then you'll mostly just be grinding for social stats and confidants during you free time and the repetition gets old fast. The game goes out of its way to show how awful Kamoshida is for trying to have sexual relations with a student and then just has Kawakami dressed up as someones fetish for her Confidant stuff. Im assuming you can date her too.
