It's weird, when I lie on my left side it's not too bad but hurts a bit when I inhale deeply. Which is true of nearly all other positions, like standing up. When I lie on my right side, however, I can inhale more deeply than in any other position. On the other hand, when I exhale deeply while lying on my right side it's the worst pain I've had. Exhaling any other time is not a problem. You think it's a lung issue?

Rib injuries cause it to hurt to breathe. Probably just soar or something. Either that or something is seriously wrong with your lungs.

Could be Pleurisy.

I've had it a couple times. A short doctor trip and antibiotics will clear it up in a few days.

Did you have a bad cough recently? When I had Covid, all the coughing resulted in really sharp pain in my side like along the ribs, felt like being stabbed and I was worried I had damage to the lungs too. I went to the doctor and they told me it was just inflammation from coughing so much and prescribed me an NSAID and a warm compress regimen.

You said its around your left ribs, but not necessarily the ribs themselves? Might be appendicitis despite it being on the left side of your body instead of your right since the appendix apparently snakes around the upper left of your torso to the lower right of your abdomen if I recall correctly.

Edit: Sorry, mixed that up with the intestines. Man, Im so glad Im not a doctor, otherwise the TC would be in a world of trouble.

pinched nerve. i had one that did that for a month before.
