It was a fun game.

Are the other two as good?

Kind of, but also kind of not in different ways.

The murder mysteries are much better for the most part, especially the second game imo. Other than that theyre better in some areas, worse in others. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoyed this one.

V3 has my favourite characters and since I pit characters above actual story it was my favourite

They're worth checking out.

There's also Despair Girls which is... different. It adds onto 2 and gives certain characters some extra character development. You may or may not vibe with the game itself though.

Man I just got spoiled smh Apparently Kyoko gets poisoned and dies, but it turns out at the end she actually survived. I am glad though since I like her character but still

That sounds like something from the anime.

But since you're a rational actor in your own life and not a crazy person, there is no reason for you to watch the anime at all.

Yeah um... don't look up anything Danganronpa related if you're interested in experiencing it spoiler free. It is an insanely easy series to get spoiled on.

The first game was my favorite.

Each game has pros and cons, and all three are definitely worth playing. It's easy to find a reason why any of them would be your favorite, be it for the cast, gameplay elements, or overall story. They do tend to be fairly formulaic and you'll notice recurring patterns in things like character arcs and story structure.

I didn't really like Ultra Despair Girls, though. Stopped playing it very early on. That one's just a spinoff, though, and you can play all three main series games without playing it or watching the anime, and still know what's going on.

Yeah. Even just the comment section of something Danganronpa-related on Youtube can get you spoiled to high heaven. I got that same spoiler he mentioned from a random comment, unsolicited, on a video of Danganronpa music.

Yeah, there's a DR3 anime, but it honestly can be skipped because it's not that great and isn't important to the main games.

Sweet I guess in a way I wasn't spoiled then since I don't want to watch the anime

Tbf, it's mostly the Future Arc that isn't so great.

Despair arc has it's moments, especially if you liked DR2's characters.
