Sacheens sisters Rosalind Cruz and Trudy Orlandi spoke to the San Francisco Chronicle for a new interview and claimed that she wasnt actually Native American. The title of the article labeled her an ethnic fraud.

Its a lie, Orlandi said. My father was who he was. His family came from Mexico. And my dad was born in Oxnard.

Cruz added. Its disgusting to the heritage of the tribal people. And its just insulting to my parents.

I mean, youre not gonna be a Mexican American princess. Youre gonna be an American Indian princess. It was more prestigious to be an American Indian than it was to be Hispanic in her mind, Orlandi added.

The sisters also say that Sacheens claims about their father being a violent alcoholic are untrue.

My fathers father, George, he was the alcoholic. My dad never drank, Orlandi said. My dad never smoked. And you know, she also blasted him and said my father was mentally ill. My father was not mentally ill.

Mexicans have a lot more native American ancestry on average than Americans though.
