The article explained that.

Bidens announcement has caveats. Sending the bill is dependent on Democrats retaining the House, which has always looked like an uphill climb, and increasing their Senate majority, which could allow Democrats to change the rules surrounding the filibuster.

He's making the case to retain the House and increase their majority in the Senate, duh.

Democrats do not have the votes to pass it. They can try to remove the filibuster, but they won't actually succeed because, even if Manchin and Sinema get voted out and/or the Democrats gain seats, I absolutely guarantee you that more will come up in opposition. Remember Harry Reid and his filibuster reform for judicial appointments? How do you like the makeup of the SCOTUS now because of it?

Why is it that everyone always gives the other 50 fucking senators absolutely no slack / penalty for just voting no for everything and anything? Mind boggling.

Theyre most likely losing the house because of gerrymandering and frankly theres not a lot that can be done with that. So what they should do is come up with something now while they still have control of the house and then wait until after January to pass it through the senate if they can win some seats there

You seem to be in the group that doesn't understand how congress works. You said the dems "already have the house and senate" when it at least should be common knowledge that the Democrats having 50 seats in the Senate + a tiebreaker along with two Democrats who wouldn't agree to said changes you want doesn't give Democrats the 60 votes that would be necessary.

It's literally just people falling for Republican propaganda. Democrats have the slimmest possible "majority" of 50/50 seats with the VP tie breaker. Manchin and Sinema defect together with all 50 Republicans refusing to concede an inch or negotiate on anything and then Republicans say "look Democrats aren't doing anything! Might as well not even vote for them!" so that they hopefully get more seats themselves and pass opposing legislation. It's so transparent I'm surprised seeing comment sections any place where self-proclaimed Democratic voters or centrists don't see it and blame themselves before blaming Republicans.
