She constantly gripes about everything and anything. She will be annoyed if customers come in(for some reason) and then mutter "go to Mcdonalds" and sometimes that mutter is loud enough for the customers to hear. She has yelled or fussed at me for things that aren't at all bad. Several times I've taken customers for my coworkers and she'll complain about it. When customers want ME to wait on them, she has complained about that as well. She has, over all, destroyed my confidence. Customers will tell me I do great or that I was the best server they've had and she would put me down.

I was in the back and on a break and she fussed at me for being on my phone(which its not actually against the rules as long as you're in the back and on break) and has walked up minutes later, passing up my coworkers as they are on their phones playing games and messaging and saying nothing about it.

The reason for this rant is that today one of my coworkers told me about reviews on google and several were positive reviews for me. She told people "Oh boy, his head is going to swell now" and I told her "I'm having severe depression issues and this put me in a great mood."

I then proceeded with "You're just trying to destroy my confidence" and she said "Well yeah".

I've had people tell me quit or go talk to someone higher up and I have done both but I have a lot of regular customers here and I don't make money like I do here and although she's a terrible person, I love my job and my customers. People have gone above to higher ups and they don't do anything about it. At best, they'll come in and ask every coworker questions about her and most of them will lie through their teeth and nothing will be done. Then she'll ask who said something and then make assumptions about who it could have been.

The last few weeks have been the roughest because she solely comes at me. If I'm happy, she wants to make me miserable and when I'm miserable, she complains that I'm in a bad mood.

I have listened to my best friend, the cook, talk about Jack the Ripper as we discussed things(that's a usual discussion) and I said not one word as I listened intently and she turned and said "[My name], don't you ever shut up?"

I am fortunate enough to know that I can take my talents anywhere. I'd start looking for something else that will pay you nearly the same. Put yourself out there. You never know.

I'm a waiter and I have a lot of regulars. I think that's a big part of why I stay. If I leave, I have to learn a new menu and get to know new people. I'm one of those introverts that have a tough time with change. I left before and ended up coming back because I wasn't able to make the same amount of money. I make more than minimum wage in 28 hours a week.

I just honestly wish she would just quit like she talks about. She's always talking about quitting or getting back to just cooking but if she came back to cooking, she'd become miserable since she won't make as much and we'll all do the same shit she's done to us in the past.

Well, other than probably fire me, she might change my shifts because she knows I love morning shifts.

She's told me before "I can say that or do that because I'm the boss." She's extremely immature and mocks me for my hobbies(like gaming and whatnot) and has no real responsible bone in her body. I think the worst part of my job is that there's a rampant case of nepotism because her brother in law, nephew, three nieces, and grand daughter all work with us.

Bully her better. Undermine her confidence. Mentally nudge her towards ruining her life. Bang all of her family members and show her what real nepotism looks like. Get dirt on her and then heavily imply that you're going to spread it for no other reason but your own enjoyment. Kidnap her dog.
