On an alien research station floating in space, a specimen of xenomorph breaks out of the lab into a residential section of the facility. Those people who could not evacuate in time because they don't live close to an emergency exit are now stuck inside of a biome with the creature, including trees, hills, and other terrain similar to earth. The survivors must negotiate with their captors, the security force of the ship, for their release while waiting for help to arrive against an unknown number of alien organisms as they fight to preserve their sanity amidst the horror of being pushed further into the wildlife areas of that zone by the alien threat.

It turns out that the xenomorphs are androids (created by the company) but one of them becomes infected by a real facehugger when they escape into another section of the ship to find an escape pod. Before getting away, the heroes unleash the real xenomorph subjects on the security and research teams. It turns out many of their neighbors were actually androids or clones. And one of the heroes turns out to be an android.
