One criticism I keep seeing in particular is that the movie humanizes Michael Myers too much. For instance, as Laurie is about to finish him off by slitting his throat and wrists, she says "you're just a man in a mask."

Guys, that's obviously not true and not the intent of the film. This DGG trilogy has been about the curse of the boogeyman looming over Haddonfield for over half a century. Laurie said that to take away Michael's psychological hold over her.

After all, when you need to completely obliterate a killer's body by dumping him into an industrial grinder just to have people satisfied he's actually dead, clearly you're not dealing with a mere mortal man.

And I still want him to come back. I had this idea where they say the guy we saw in Ends was a secret twin. Keeps the real Michael alive and strong

The crazy thing is that the whole Michael Myers stuff was supposed to end with the second movie in the original series.

I kinda wish it did.

I was thinking more along the lines of a transference of evil. The human being named Michael Myers was the original vessel for this evil entity called the Shape. But it's still a mortal coil and therefore subject to age and time. Eventually the Shape needs a new mask.

I also don't think it's coincidental that Laurie ended the movie by saying "evil never dies, it just takes new shape." New shape? The Shape? The seeds have been planted.

I think it would be worth exploring the possibility of turning the franchise into an anthology, as Carpenter originally intended with part 3. Perhaps even keep them all within the same fictional universe with clever Easter eggs referencing the others, or Hell, have them all set in Haddonfield. It may be a small town but Michael can't be the only terrible thing to happen there. Anyway, yeah, anthology, then you can have one come out every year in October!

I disagree. Michael was human enough in 2018 for me to bite, but he was clearly supernatural in Kills. Tanked five bullets to the torso point blank and survived a mob beatdown with bats and who knows what else. Didn't just survive, immediately recovered completely and slaughtered them all.

A normal person cannot do that. Cannot. Do. That.

That's the problem with DGG's trilogy. It's disjointed.

As much as I love Halloween Ends and Kills I can't help but feel they could've created the best halloween/Horror/sequel/slasher movies of all.time if they had combined all the best elements from Kills and Ends into one movie.

good thing you had that idea and no one else cause its pretty awful.
