I would tell them that America is only good for using the country to make your money but they would be better off retiring back home for a more laid back life

Ready depends on where they're coming from.

The opportunities here compared to alot of places are very appealing even with all the shit.

But I was told that you can't have a living wage here so how is it good to make money?

Oodles of manual labor jobs in the U.S. actually pay quite well, for what they are. If you're talking about job opportunities that don't require degrees, 100% America is vastly preferable to anything in the rest of the Western hemisphere minus Canada.

America is only tolerable to live in if you have a lot of wealth to begin with. "The American Dream" and associated rat race are pointless and dangerous.

No, it isn't, but if you come through anyway then you MUST go through the legal channels.

I'd say do it.
From my experience, immigrants from all over the world tend to absolutely love this country. I remember a Japanese user here remarking that USA born-and-raised citizens have a reputation as essentially the "spoiled brats of the world." in terms of downplaying their own country.

They had a great analogy too. Something like the friend who's always complaining about their parents making them go to bed early. Everyone else in the friend group has their gripes going to bed at 9 or 10, but this whining friend must have it REALLY bad.

Then comes the whiner's reveal: their dreaded curfew is midnight or 1 in the morning, and they're all left thinking, "You're bitching over THAT? WE want that."

Makes sense, though. Most Americans are culturally underexposed af

In terms of wealth generation and potential opportunities this country is second to none.

There are numerous trades and manual labor jobs you can work for a decent to good pay with little to no education and work your way up from there. Sending enough back for your family to make a living while moving up here yourself. So with a good enough work ethic you can make a decent life for yourself here at the least.

This is why most immigrants that come have a positive outlook of the country and tell their freinds and family the same which makes them want to come and they do the same.

As an actual immigrant from a developing nation I would definitely have to say its worth it.
