I generally find it rude to vent depression out on people. You never know how theyre doing in a given moment, or what they're equipped to hear or deal with like bruh yesterday i had one friend spiraling because they're trying to escape their shit country cuz theyre lgbtqia and at risk of death another friend spiraling cuz depression and suicidal urges and another friend confessing they used to be a roving gay basher like bruh wtf all in one day? [LFAQs-redacted-quote] it's a fine line for sure. i welcome venting but if it's gonna be the real raw heavy shit, warn them ahead of time. like one of my friends does "hey, there's been something weighing on me and i think i need to let it out, it's really heavy, would you mind hearing me out?" and i extremely appreciate and treasure them for that and i dont get upset with my friends for venting the heavy stuff either tho. it's just, i'm one of those people that others really feel like they can share anything with. so some days i'm hearing a lot of dark and scary shit. i like to make my friends feel heard but like, dont use your friends as therapists yk? --- MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD ...
