It's one of those "you only use 10% of your brain" type movies premises which is already pretty cringe without adding hangover era Bradley Cooper.

The movie is kinda nonsensical about the premise and not that great an action thriller either.

Robert de Niro is in it, and he is about what you would expect. Its still de Niro, even at his worst it is still a performance.

The show was better. It seems like it would be a rare thing that a show is better than the movie it is based on. Or is it I just remembered Buffy.

The only cool Limitless is Gojo's ability that is extremely unclear on how it works

I'd actually heard about this movie for years, decided I'd just watch it to finally get the references. Last time I watched something ridiculous like that was Lucy but Limitless is a teensy bit more restrained than that movie lol

Funny thing is I read up on the premise of the book and its actually kinda interesting, its set in the backdrop of the dotcom bubble and subsequent burst. That's actually kinda cool. You then compare that to this movie coming out during the financial crisis and "great recession" and they could have done something with it, only not lame like tdkr

Bradley Cooper in general is extremely lame. I vastly lower my expectations of anything he's in. Not because he's bad, he's just extremely boring to look at. His face, his beard, his gesticulation, his mimmicky. Like watching paint dry, but the paint is actually your life.

He only works when he's a CGI raccoon.

i admittedly still occasionally google it in the hopes of news of a second season getting picked up by someone

it was a fun series
