the grocery store near me sells a box of them that comes with a bag of marinara sauce
but everything is frozen so you need to cut open the plastic bag and put the solid chunk of red ice in a bowl then in the microwave
and then you dip into the marinara sauce and it tastes like water

so i just throw the frozen packet away and use mustard now

Ugh. Chunky salsa with cilantro in the first pic. How is that even going to work? The chunks won't stay on the sticks and you end up with cilantro on your stick. (smooth salsa with no cilantro might be tasty though)

I have done that once in a pinch. Wasn't bad. It was with some cheap Walmart mozzarella sticks that had no flavor and I was trying to get them down rather than toss them and I had no marinara.

And now I really want some Mozzarella sticks and Marinara bad.

It wouldn't be so bad if I always had it chopped finely. But my mom likes to chop it really coarse, leave in the stems, so I get a very pokey experience eating potato salad or something.
