Tbh my favorite parts of that game were when I could wander around and explore without any pressure. I really liked working my way through the house, and the environmental storytelling was great

Yeap, amazing experience, specially if you go all out to make it more atmospheric. Lights off, good headphones. A bit underrated.

Unfortunately, a ton of the gameplay in the beginning is incredibly tense and stressful. It definitely adds to the atmosphere, but not my thing

The molded sucked. It felt like they designed the entire game to not have them and then at the end of development they realized there would be literally nothing going on in the game inbetween Jack encounters so they added them at the last minute.

The intro is so fucking good. A slow build up.

Saving your girlfriend.
Being creeped out by your girlfriend.
Fleeing your girlfriend.
Finding a gun.
Shooting your girlfriend in the head and getting your hand cut off.

Then the dinner scene right after.

Its a great game. Its in a series with some other fantastic games, so its not my favourite Resident Evil, but Id say its my 4th favourite in the series.
