episode 6: now, how the hell did the old man manage to steal the Morgoth Blade?
I think the bigger question is how the fuck did Arondir not notice he was holding an axe?

This entire show falls apart with as little scrutiny to the plot as possible. Surprising how much passed the final edit its as if the showrunners didn't care to re shoot anything and were watching a polished first draft with elements that just don't mesh or make sense.

The show clearly showed Adar asking the old guy to do something. That something very obviously being "take this sword and put it in the stone while they think I have it."

Arondir not noticing it was switched is dumb but the rest is fine.

They probably didn't want to risk it workings its evil magic on them more by being in their sight is my guess, and clearly how they'd shown it through the show.

btw, was it not said in Two Towers that the dwarf women also have beards?
but the wife does not

also, if the Orcs live best in the dark to the point the light hurts them, why do they all carry torches?

I honestly don't think Tolkien said much about dwarf women at all. Them having beards is mostly a meme, I can't think of a single fantasy universe with bearded dwarf women.

So I looked it up (because I was sure it never came up in the Hobbit, LotR and the Silmarillion) and it apparently comes from a line of text in appendix A in LotR.

So like, they have beards but nobody knew that until the films because if you tell me you read the LotR appendices I'm gonna call you a liar.
