The reason I think the scene was terrible was because of the CGI. The netflix shows had him do acrobatics, but it was more grounded as oppose to this where it feels weightless like in Black Panther movie. There is no flow to anything happening, it's veering into Taken territory with harsh quick cuts that serve no purpose beyond masking flaws in the direction.
