I do. I have an NES, SNES, N64, PS1, PS2, etc

never touched this stuff in decades. Wondering if I should get rid of it

Unfortunately not because I'm a dumbass.

I got rid of my NES, SNES, Gamecube and all my games for them about a decade ago and regret it big time.

I still have all my Playstation stuff and GBA SP.

They wind up stored somewhere at my parents' house. I really should get rid of them. I still have all my Gamecube stuff and that goes for a lot.

I still regret how my 8 and 16-bit stuff was treated. I had stuff like Earthbound with the full box, and just...left them at old houses to rot

I have them backed up. I do still have a physical ps1 though. Mostly cause that was my first own console. My dad had the nes and we skipped the snes in my household. Luckily all of my friends had one.

I gave my Genesis and N64 to my cousin. Handhelds kinda got lost but I still have my 3DS... I have a PS3 that I bought a few years ago to play Nocturne and Budokai 3. My PS2 got lost as well.

We still have all of our old consoles and most of our portables. (I only ever traded in gameboys if I had no need for the previous version. Like I let my OG gameboy go once I got a GB color, the gameboy advance once I got the SP, etc. Still kept my chunky OG gameboy DS after all these years though). NES, SNES, genesis w/ the sega cd and 32X, PS1, saturn, dreamcast, N64, etc., all still here.

Its a bitch hooking all that stuff up though so they are all unplugged and stored away. When I get the craving to play some older generation stuff I do it via emulators.

My family also treated our old game boxes and pack-ins like shit. My mom would throw away the console and game boxes and whatnot. When we were old enough to buy our own games my brother and I tried to keep most of this kind of thing but a lot of times things still get misplaced and lost over the years. Like I have no clue where in the world all my gba game boxes are at despite me keeping them....got fire emblem and castlevania circle of the moon with the boxes and manuals over here, but I have no idea where my breath of fire 2 box and manual is at.

Yes, I have never sold a console, handheld or game I've purchased. I still have everything. Stored in airtight containers, sorted by system, ready to use.

Its certainly better than complaining that there are no new games coming out or getting pissy that not every game gets ported to or is available on every system every generation.

Only when neither backwards compatibility nor emulation is an option.
