If they don't let me use my downloaded games on the switch 2 I'm never buying a console again. At that point I might as well get a steam deck.

Just no.

If anything, that's been more of Xbox's approach, plus they could sell at more of a loss and are still losing. Even a rich company like Microsoft isn't throwing away money to win in console sales. So, why would you think Nintendo would not only do that, but somehow also have more money than Microsoft? None of it makes any sense.

Xbox is making back what they sell at a loss in Game Pass Subscriptions.

Microsoft lets u keep old downloads. Clearly the best option. I think they will absolutely crush Sony one day.

Nintendo makes cheap shit so they always make money. They also charge 5 bucks more for every game compared to Steam, and have less sales.

If Nintendo wanted to win they should port every GBA/gb/gc/N64/Wii/ds game to switch.

Trying to figure out who owns the rights to one game can be a nightmare, doing it for multiple full libraries will both be hell and extremely costly.

All they need to do is invent a new thing and have an unlimited supply of microprocessors.

I know console numbers are the traditional method to gaging a console's success, but considering how prevalent scalping was at first, I do wonder how many individuals own a PS5 VS the total number sold.

Also Series S/X has led weekly/monthly numbers for a while, no?

all of this just to play a rerelease of Mario Kart 8, which will once again sell millions.

I know they've caught up or sold more in some months. It's hard to say for sure though. Both ps5 and Xbox x get/got scalped though. There isn't too much reliable information I can easily find besides the total sales numbers for each though. It seems that a lot less people are as concerned as they used to be (thankfully)

I find it strange that Nintendo fans will think every other core fanbase will drop their respective consoles/pc to flock towards Nintendo based on their first party games. The fact is a lot of that audience couldnt give less of a shit about Nintendo games, me included. Not to say they are bad, but they arent interesting to most other audiences.
