There's so much about it I hate, but when you're between games and just want something to play in the mean time while watching random Youtube, WoW can fill that time ok I guess.

I was thinking about playing a Prot pally and just tanking everything. I dunno.

Play guild wars 2 instead. Free on steam, no sub, and pretty fun change using horizontal progression instead of vertical.

From what Ive heard and seen, you play it 3 months, put it down for a year and come back and youre still in the same progression state you were in, as opposed to having all your gear too weak and needing to grind for the next tier of content that released.

plus the main thing for me is the class/elite spec part gives a lot of diversity in playstyle imo.

Do it. Wrath classic just launched its the best time to play.
Or wait for Dragonflight retail. Don't play shadowlands at all.

These. At least wait for dragonflight pre-patch in like a month, if you play retail.

Wrath classic, though, is the real attraction right now. Just launched this week, so you can go to one of the "fresh" realms, buy a level boost, and not even be that far behind.

We got entry to the beta testing and I'm loving the class system revamp. Obviously it's not going to be perfect for every class, but the ones we play got big improvements over what's current in Shadowlands. It's like the devs took appealing parts of our classes from last expansion and combined those together for Dragonflight.

Shadowlands had a legendary equip + "covenant" system (which stunk until they fixed it late expansion). There were certain overpowered legendary equip combos players wanted, but couldn't do because of equip limits. The Dragonflight devs basically said "yeah let's let them do a few of those combos now ". It almost felt like an apology for how shitty the first half of Shadowlands was. And reports are implying that's one of the narratives devs are following to make up for the tidal wave of complaints directed at last expansion. Blizzard also hired back more devs.

My hubby likes playing tanks and I support with my druid or monk. He PVPs and I bum around dungeons collecting stuff when he doesn't need backup. If it wasn't for that, we wouldn't have made it through Shadowlands.
