Parents that don't properly secure their guns deserve jail time when kids get a hold of theirs and kill someone or themselves.

I feel like a lot of the founding fathers wouldn't be on board with how that law is used today. It's like blaming someone that the internet helps pedophiles prey on people just cause they invented it. It's out their hands.

Just turning on the damn safety switchs when they arent in use likely would have prevented a good chunk of those accidents likely.

They aren't obvious to find, or turn off and most kids likely wouldn't even know what they are because most media, games or ads ever reference them.

Do you mean the "is a leading cause of death"? Because after that it is still talking about this demographic - do you mind highlighting what I'm missing and/or reading incorrectly? My dude, you completely misread the article you posted. It is calling Covid *A* leading cause among young people and children, not *THE* leading cause. Nowhere does it say it's the #1 cause like you claimed earlier.

If you look at the tables at the end where the leading causes are further split up into age groups, Covid isn't in the top 3 of any of the age groups mentioned.

Quite the nerve to talk about other people's reading comprehension when you're having trouble with this.
