Episode 0, The Epilogue.

Cliff's notes:

Show starts out on a research colony.
Eri, the MC of the show, a 4 year-old girl at the time celebrates her birthday.
Mom is a scientist/engineer. Dad is an engineer/test pilot.
The main Mobile Suit will not wake up.
Eri gets mad at mom and dad because they have to take calls and runs away to the Mobile Suit that wont wake up. The leader lady of the colony is at the suit doing tests. She gets a call and puts Eri inside the suit.
Politics play around.
Earth Federation declares Gundams to be illegal. (Except for them of course.)
As speech goes on, Feddies storm the research center and kill almost everyone in center. Dad takes out a test suit to fend them off.
It turns out that Eri is the catalyst that wakes the suit up due to the look on her mother's shocked face.
Eri and her mother escape the colony and Eri sees three enemy suits pop up on radar. She just points to the blips on the radar and they are destroyed.
Enemy leader comes and lets loose an emp like attack and then cuts their arm off.
Dad comes in and takes the sword to allow Eri and her mother to escape.

Pretty bad-ass start to the show.
