Thinking of subscribing to them since they have Doggystyle and The Chronic

And Spotify took them out

If you can notice diff in flac vs 320 kbps (barring cases where the compressed song just has worse mix which is noticeable to like any1) and it has songs you like but can't access from other services it worth it.

For me it is not worth it. Ive already subbed to it in the past. I just can't hear the diff between 320 kbps and flac (barring cases where the mix between the two is obv different; in most cases the mix is the same for my music). It doesn't have any exclusive songs that I listen to either.

Check first if all of your devices support their native application.

For example, my Google Nest Hub and GPD XD handheld are not properly available.

Don't think my smart TV is either.

Here try this test to find out if you can notice a difference between 320 kbps and flac. There is someone I know of that passed this with a similar system as me. I can't pass it for shit tho.

I also wouldn't be surprised if all you need are some good well trained ears and a $15 current single dd chi-fi iem.

i was struggling to hear a difference on the first 5 tests and i thought maybe the site was bugged or something. i tried really hard and got 80% correct though so maybe i can hear a difference after all. im not a music enthusiast so i dont know the terms but i think its the highs the sound the most different to me (symbols/claps etc). but thats when im struggling and paying attention. i wouldnt know in an actual real scenario

for reference i generally take good care of my ears, and i wear a hd660s and use a jds labs atom stack on my pc

Damn. You could prob just train to get 100%. I have tinnitus and some pressure issue with my ears sometimes which fucks up my hearing. So I doubt i could ever pass this test.

Also some flac tracks really do have a much better mix than compressed. Higher dynamic range and such. I can hear a difference between those and their compressed versions but my genre of music is all pretty badly mixed anyways so it doesn't matter to me.

This site is pretty good for looking at a track's dynamic range. Shows you multiple versions of the same album. . https://dr.loudness-war.info/

Just using nevermind as an example because it has so many rereleases compared to some other stuff.
