I don't think you need that exact item (it's a plastic stepping stool with a slight tilt) but it makes your poop slide right out. I did not expect it to work this well

Any old off brand will work right? Like, theres nothing unique about the squatty potty itself?

you see the issue with it as Dr mike pointed out in one of his videos is that you can literally use anything around to elevate your feet making the product a waste of money

I think a regular stepping stool would work. But the surface is very slightly angled so I don't know if that makes a difference.

I wanted one but couldn't get past the choice of much of a squat I wanted to do.

I first heard about it during that Steve-O interview with Frankie Muniz (which shattered the myth that he has amnesia and is basically dying of a thousand health problems) and it sounded kind of fucking amazing. It's been on my mind ever since, and one day I'm gonna get one.
