I know this might be obvious already, but besides marital arts and maybe some movies, what do you think Bruce Lee would continue to inspire in the world?

No. He would be ostracized by China. They were already calling him a traitor when he left. They considered him teaching Americans martial arts to be a betrayal of Chinese culture. They went back on some of that after he died but the initial reaction was not good and if Bruce Lee kept doing what he did he would likely not have been in good graces with the CCP.

Probably would have ended up like Steven Segal, a parody of himself

No he wouldn't because he was very controversial in the Chinese Martial Arts world for not only teaching foreigners, but also creating his own Martial Arts style, Jun Keet Do, that took little bits of other styles and mixed it in with his own. His style revolved around "getting to the point" with out the extra movements. Many Martial Artists considered this blasphemous and really only changed their tune when Bruce Lee passed away.

He's American by birth. And he would have made tons of more movies. He was just heating up in american film after dominating asia. His influence would have been fine. I would be more curious as to whether or not he would have competed at any point.

Also as mentioned before china didnt like bruce teaching kung fu to white guys so that whole incident with wong jack man happened. The stipulation was if bruce lost he would have to stop teaching white guys. This was obviously before the internet and no video was taken and the handful of people who witnessed it all describe it slightly different. But even then bruce's influence is felt here because it was after this fight he realized that limiting yourself to only one style is a weakness. Many people consider him the inventor of what we now call mma.

I could see him being really successful on the podcast scene because of his philosophies, experiences, interactions with other celebrities/influential figures, etc.

I have many questions about Bruce Lee had he lived. I think he undoubtedly would have become more vocal in his activism as time went on. And that makes me wonder if he would have become a subject of controversy. How would he have adapted to the growing action genre of the 1980s or would he have singlehandedly redirected the course of action in Hollywood?

If you look at his film persona, I imagine Hollywood would have liked for him to have been the sidekick for a White lead -- like a Burt Reynolds or a Charles Bronson. Would he have agreed to that or would he have stuck with films in which he was the lead whether they were A films or B films? How long would it have taken for one of his characters to have a White love interest?

What would have happened to Bruce Lee the action star as he grew older? Bruce Lee understood that, by the end of the movie, people would want a competitive fight. He'd take on an opponent with a complimentary style, someone who was bigger than him, or someone who would cheat. Would he have remained true to that when he was 40? Or would a midlife crisis have gotten the better of him? If you look at Chuck Norris, he reached a point in his career where the bad guy in the final showdown would only get offense one time no matter how long the fight lasted. (The Hitman, Missing in Action 2, Walker: Texas Ranger, Sidekicks, etc.)

Would Bruce Lee have branched out into multiple genres or stayed making films like The Big Boss and Enter the Dragon?

Bruce died a martial arts hero. If he lived longer he would have eventually became a villian. Especially in today's social media era. It would only take one outlandish comment from Bruce to completely change everyone's view of him.
